If your library owns a copy of the book, you can try to submit a request with an invoice for that as proof of ownership of a new copy.

I have been having difficulty procuring publisher files from a publisher due to the student only having a receipt for a used and rented version of the textbook.  The publisher informed me that they would only provide their files if the student had purchased a new version or eBook version.
