Presuming this student isn't a braille user, the most thorough experience
would probably be had through the T3 Tactile Tablet., where you press down
on different things and it will read what they are aloud.

contact them to get something custom made. The machine itself is $750 and
no clue what they's ask for a custom item if it is even possible.
The technology is similar to livescribe pens, so you might be able to
juryrig something with a cut up piece of livescribe paper over a tactile.
Never done that before but it might work. If there's any interest I'll dig
up some of our resources and try to get it to work.
