[Athen] NVDA and Calculus

Thank you all for your help. I have downloaded the extension for NVDA and checked the format to be sure it was in MathML for a html file. It seems to be working. Thank you again.

Does your version of NVDA have the mathCAT add-on<https://nvda-addons.org/addon.php?id=272> installed? Also, what browser are you using to read the html content?
Another troubleshooting step could be to re-install NVDA, sometimes things are just quirky in the background and need to be re-set.

What format is the exam in? Does it have equations entered properly, i.e. in MathType? For math, there needs to be further remediation of documents to make the math readable.

I’m working with a legally blind student who needs to take a Calculus exam. We typically use NVDA for our visually impaired students. When I tested the exam yesterday, NVDA read all the text but stopped when it reached the math equations. How can I get NVDA to read the math problems? I’ve already tried the MathCAT and Access8Math extensions, but it still isn’t reading the equations. Am I missing a step? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
