[Athen] NVDA and Calculus

Hi,

 

The math must be in MathML to have NVDA/MathCAT read it. Can the Math be
copied out and pasted into Word? Does it come over as MathML or as an image?

It could seem obvious, but do ensure you are running the latest NVDA. And
read section 7 of the user guide.

I'm guessing you also need an NVDA add-on, see again section 7 for details.

I'm working with a legally blind student who needs to take a Calculus exam.
We typically use NVDA for our visually impaired students. When I tested the
exam yesterday, NVDA read all the text but stopped when it reached the math
equations. How can I get NVDA to read the math problems? I've already tried
the MathCAT and Access8Math extensions, but it still isn't reading the
equations. Am I missing a step? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
