[Athen] JAWS and NVDA not reading list item count or identifying sub-lists

I just tried NVDA and lists on a web page and the lists are announced with
number of items. Tried the same in a Word doc with same content and it does
not work, It brings up a grammar dialog box instead (NVDA Key+F7)
