<p class="MsoNormal" style=""><span style="">Big news: <b>the ATHEN list is getting a new home!</b></span></p>

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be moving the list to <b>Groups.io</b>—including our membership and (as quickly as possible) our archived history—so we can keep everything we love about ATHEN while gaining some great new capabilities.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style=""><b><span style="font-size:18.0pt">What’s changing?</span></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style=""><span style="">In simple terms: <b>we’re moving providers.</b><br>
We’ll be migrating the full userbase to Groups.io, and we’re also prioritizing the migration of our
<b>historical archives</b> so the knowledge and conversations that shaped ATHEN remain available for everyone.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style=""><span style="">The current ATHEN list will be placed into
<b>read-only mode</b>.</span></p>

<li class="MsoNormal" style=""><span style="">You’ll still be able to <b>browse and search past messages</b> as you do today</span></li><li class="MsoNormal" style=""><b><span style="">Posting and new subscriptions will be disabled</span></b><span style=""></span></li></ul>
<p class="MsoNormal" style=""><b><span style="font-size:13.5pt">Weekend of February 28 – March 1</span></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style=""><span style="">Your admin team will be hard at work migrating everything to Groups.io. As soon as all members are successfully in place on the new platform, we’ll
<b>open the new list for posting and participation</b>.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style=""><b><span style="font-size:13.5pt">Archive migration</span></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style=""><span style="">We’ll be coordinating directly with the Groups.io team to bring over our historical archives. This portion
<b>may take a bit longer</b>, but it is a <b>top priority</b>, and we’ll keep you updated as milestones are reached.</span></p>
