Are you feeling overwhelmed or stressed about world news? You are not alone. With the load of academics, personal responsibilities, maybe differing opinions of those around you, and adjusting to a new space and program, it can add additional stress on top of what you are already experiencing. You may be feeling increased anxiety due to concerns of the election results and how that can impact your future. If you are also scrolling social media and strapped on the news, this can be additional stress as with constant news and updates it can fuel your emotional response. It is important to find ways that you can take care of yourself during this election period as this can lead to feelings of loneliness and isolation and disconnect from peers. Organized by the Counseling Center and the HUB.

Peer Wellness Coaches

UW's Peer Wellness Coaches<https://livewell.uw.edu/pwc/> are always here to support students in a free 1-1 setting with any social-emotional skills students want to learn for: managing conflict, building relationships, navigating political discourse, or setting healthier routines around news/media consumption.
