UWHCASB RSO Healthcare Shadowing First Meeting

Are you interested in pre-health shadowing and disparities in rural healthcare?



Healthcare Alternative Spring Break (HCASB) is a UW RSO that hosts a 1-week program in rural areas of Washington during the spring break, where students shadow healthcare providers to learn more about rural medicine. Our organization aims to provide pre-health undergraduates with the opportunity to learn about the unique challenges and characteristics of rural health care through first-hand, immersive experiences.



Gain 35-50 shadowing hours in these relevant fields: Medicine/Surgery (MD/DO), Physician Assistant, Nursing, Dentistry, Optometry, Physical/Occupational Therapy, and more!

We will be having an information session on Wednesday, October 16th, 2023, at Condon Hall (CDH) 101 from 5:30 to 7 PM. This meeting will include an introduction of HCASB, our RSO, and the leadership team. We will also talk about past experiences shadowing through HCASB. It's a chance to understand the club better, ask questions about the coming applications, and get to know each other. We look forward to seeing you soon!
