About Mock ER:
We have a robust collection of clinical cases that are reviewed by medical students and physicians that are broadly representative of real emergency medicine. During this event, you will be competing in teams of four to triage, diagnose, and treat these patients using a wide array of provided diagnostic tests and procedures. In each case, some diagnostic tools will add to the clinical picture, while others may be functionally useless or even misleading. While we'll be providing reference guides and helpful information, it's up to each team to collaborate, discuss, and research to find the correct diagnoses and treatments. No background experience or coursework is required for this event. We will have a new feature this quarter where you can phone a medical student for assistance!
After the Mock ER, several doctors and medical students will walk through select cases, the proper diagnostic procedures, and appropriate treatment.
Hope to see you there! Let us know if you have any questions.
Best,
