[Biostudent] Autumn Online Courses in ISS Program

ANTH 377 and PHIL 343 could be petitioned to count in a Biology Degree. Please read registration information carefully and contact ISS (Integrated Social Science) if you have registration questions.

Autumn online courses in the Integrated Social Sciences program.  This is particularly useful for non-resident students who do not plan to be on campus this term.  They can take online ISS courses from wherever they are and pay rates far lower than their regular out-of-state tuition!  Thank you.

Autumn 2024 Online Courses in the Social Sciences

On-campus students at the University of Washington are invited to enroll on space-available basis in asynchronous online courses offered by the Integrated Social Sciences program in Autumn Quarter 2024.  If you would like to enroll, here are some important things to know:


  1.  Enrollment is on a space-available basis during Period 3 (the first week of the quarter).
  2.  You may not register using MyUW/MyPlan, but must call PCE registration at (206)543-2310 in order to request enrollment.
  3.  Because ISS is a fee-based program, your regular tuition will NOT cover the cost of an ISS course.
  4.  You may be able to apply your financial aid award to the cost of an ISS course, although the types and amounts of eligible aid may vary from one student to another.  Please check with a financial aid counselor for information about your individual situation.
  5.  Course fees are the same paid by ISS students:  $401 per credit, regardless of residency status.

Taking an ISS course is a great option if you cannot be on campus this quarter, or if the course you want to take isn't available in the tuition-based program.  For students who pay out-of-state tuition, an ISS course is a bargain!

The following social science courses are available online in the ISS program this fall "(NOTE:  ISS courses are listed in the PCE Time Schedule, not the Seattle Time Schedule, and on the PCE tab in MyPlan.)
