The UW Honors Program<https://honors.uw.edu/> is in search of curious, motivated, and open-minded first-year UW students to join Interdisciplinary Honors starting their second year at UW<https://honors.uw.edu/apply/second-year/>, and we hope you can help us reach them by sharing the below information and the attached poster.

Honors students are enthusiastic learners from all backgrounds and majors who are interested in interdisciplinary learning, reflection, and experiential learning. Students join a curriculum and a community in the Honors Program and can combine Interdisciplinary and/or Departmental Honors with any major.

If you know current first year UW students who would be interested or could use a nudge towards this type of learning, please encourage them to apply. Here is some important information to pass on:

What is Honors?
Honors is a curriculum, a community, and much more! Our students are enthusiastic learners from all backgrounds and majors earning their degrees at one of the top public universities in the world. In Honors students:

* fulfill general education requirements in small classes<https://honors.uw.edu/courses/current-courses/> that explore modes of thinking across disciplines;
* are supported through international study, community service, leadership and research;<https://honors.uw.edu/reqs/exp/>
* take ~one Honors class per quarter;
* have access to Honors scholarships<https://honors.uw.edu/scholarships/> and advisers<https://honors.uw.edu/advising/>; and
* ask and answer bold questions<https://honors.uw.edu/reqs/portfolio/> about the challenges facing our world.
