About
Are you interested in scientific ideas with tangible societal impact beyond academia? Let us introduce you to the Science and Technology Showcase. At this event, student-led teams explore needs, invent technologies to solve them, and showcase their ideas to the scientific and business communities at UW for cash prizes. Past participants have gone on to create successful startup companies, and others have found their experience to be incredibly valuable for their career.
SEBA is hosting a First Tuesday Meeting SOON on December 5, featuring a speaker panel with former STS winners to get excited for the upcoming STS in January:
* André Stone: Founder of Panyon, 1st place in 2023 with Team Nomi
* Chris Woodruff: Cofounder of Aquagga, 2nd place in 2020 with Team Aquagga
* Dr. Tamuka C.: Principal Scientist & Manager at Novartis, 2nd place in 2019 with Team Chibage Chip
Attendees will gain valuable insights and tips to prepare for success during the STS, and will be inspired to create new ideas!
Free food will be provided courtesy of SEBA.
