“Digital Health Lunch & Learn: Hidden Innovations in Healthcare”

Thursday, October 26

Sometimes the most impactful innovations are the ones behind the curtain. In this lunch-and-learn session, we will talk about how digital technologies can make a difference in healthcare delivery as well as the challenges and opportunities around improving patient experience. Attendees will also learn about upcoming opportunities on campus, including the 2023 Digital Health Innovation Workshop and the 2024 Hollomon Health Innovation Challenge.

Generative AI is a hot topic - but how can we harness it to make an impact on human health? In this lunch-and-learn session, our panel will discuss the unique opportunities and potential pitfalls of utilizing generative AI technologies in this space. Attendees will also learn about upcoming opportunities on campus, including the 2023 Digital Health Innovation Workshop and the 2024 Hollomon Health Innovation Challenge.

“2023 Sacia Digital Health Innovation Workshop”

Saturday, November 18

9:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Hans Rosling Center 155

Students will work together on digital solutions to pressing problems in the healthcare system during this "idea-athon" while receiving feedback from stakeholders and changemakers in the field. Teams will also have the chance to participate in a Pitch Challenge at the end of the workshop with the chance to win a prize for Best Pitch! Participants will also learn how to turn their solutions into entries for the 2024 Hollomon Health Innovation Challenge and other Buerk Center competitions. Open to UW undergraduate and graduate students interested in computer science, life sciences, healthcare, or entrepreneurship. No prior programming experience necessary. Please register in advance.
