WELCOME TO AUTUMN QUARTER!
Introducing our new advisor! Please welcome Emily Uematsu<https://geography.washington.edu/people/emily-uematsu> to the Geography Advising Office! Emily joins us from the Department of Dance, where she will continue to serve as the Student Services Manager while sharing time in the Department of Geography. Emily graduated from UW with her M.Ed. through the Leadership in Higher Education program in June 2022.  She also completed her undergraduate education at UW with a B.A. in Sociology and a minor in Education, Learning, & Society. During her undergraduate years, she worked as a peer adviser at the UAA Advising office and gained a strong interest in pursuing a career in education. Born and raised in Japan as a biracial/biethnic individual, Emily has been exposed to diverse cultures and languages from a young age and spends most of her free time dancing Kizomba (a partner dance from Angola) during her free time.

If you plan on finishing your degree in AUT 2023, we need to file your application to graduate BEFORE OCTOBER 13.
If you intend to graduate in WIN 2024 or SPR 2024, you can apply to graduate BEFORE NOVEMBER 1 to get Graduating Senior Priority<https://registrar.washington.edu/course-registration/when-to-register/graduating-senior-priority/> registration status for WIN 2024 courses.
