ANNOUNCEMENT: FIELD STUDY OPPORTUNITIES!
Wildlands Studies field programs provide students the opportunity to join backcountry study teams as working field associates, studying environmental impact assessment, environmental policy, geologic, climatic, and topographic factors that support various habitats, and the relationships between environments and culture. Each program earns 5 or 15 units of upper-division credit! FAFSA Financial Aid and scholarships can apply towards funding our programs. Program teams consist of 10-16 undergraduates from all over North America. Students can choose different wildlife, wildland, and cultural ecology field studies locations that are all searching for solutions to environmental challenges. Wildlands offers programs focusing on marine ecology, rainforest ecology, mountain ecology, and mixed ecosystems.
Current field studies occur in Bulgaria, Thailand, Ecuador, Chile, New Zealand, Costa Rica, Nepal, Belize, French Polynesia, Iceland, Yellowstone, Big Sur, Alaska, and Hawaii.
