If you are looking for a fun way to spend your summer outdoors, consider taking the Urban Farm class! You will be able to learn more about regenerative and organic farming practices in and around Seattle through hands-on experience. From learning growing techniques on the UW Farm to creating your own crop plan, this is a great class to take if you are interested in learning more about sustainable food systems, farming skills, and starting to grow food of your own.

During this course, you will:
* Gain hands-on experience supporting local food sovereignty and community farm efforts
* Learn more about the UW Farm and food production techniques specific to urban settings
* Become familiar with soil building techniques for boosting carbon sequestration in urban farms
* Gain a working knowledge of plant diseases and ecological approaches to pest control
* Learn the basics of planning for continuous harvests and bountiful production
