I will be teaching an undergraduate course on Soccer & Global Affairs this Autumn. The class is JSIS 110: Sports and Global Affairs, and it will be taught Tuesdays and Thursdays 11:30 am. - 1:20 pm. The focus will be on soccer; I'm attaching the flyer.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Explore the history of soccer and the World Cup and examine the connection between the sport and international affairs, including wars, racism, and women and LGTBQIA community rights. You will read academic texts and consume a wide range of media - podcasts, documentaries, newspaper articles, sports magazines. As part of your final project, you will create your own soccer podcast.
