[UDSM Leadership] Clothing Drive Clothes Available in SCC Storage Room

Good morning,

Would it be ok if I sorted the clothes into bags so that each bag has a few items of every size? That way outreach managers can just grab one bag for their outreach.

Hope you are all well! The clothes are all sorted by size now. The bottom of the box has an overflow of sweaters, the bottom bag is size large, middle is size medium, and top is size XS/S. There’s a bag in front of the box with clothes that weren’t in acceptable condition, but I don’t have a way to transport them to donation or elsewhere.

As far as what qualifies an item to be acceptable, I'd say clean and in good repair and not an intimate item. Clean, but used underpants or bikini bottoms, for example, I wouldn't be comfortable handing out.

Some of the clothes are sorted by category (bottoms, tops, sweaters), but we brought a second batch which hasn’t been sorted. I can stop by next week to sort them by size.

The UDSM undergrad team and PhiDE have been running a clothing drive and we collected lots of clothes. I've organized it so that the box contains bottoms and jackets, one bag contains tops, and the other contains accessories (and some bedding). Please take whatever is needed for the outreaches! We’re planning to collect more clothes as students are moving out for the summer.
