Subject: Become a Street Med Institute Student Coalition Scholar!

Dear University District Street Medicine,

Hi Everyone!

The Street Medicine Institute Student Coalition is building a program, called "SMISC Scholars" for the students. Becoming a SMISC Scholar is how one "joins" SMISC. We are aiming to form a national coalition with medical and undergraduate students across the country. The benefits of being a SMISC scholar are

* opportunities to connect with students involved in Street Medicine across the country
* having access to the webinar recordings on homeless health
* attending narrative medicine workshops to help process experiences in Street Medicine
* growing as a future medical or healthcare professional to better help people experiencing homelessness

The requirements for being a SMISC scholar are in the application<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScwNBzB17efVecK-OWDrYW0jK-v9Cm7RxfRskhvGaKQQGOsYg/viewform?usp=dialog__;!!K-Hz7m0Vt54!j56spTSpnz8hoe9TWYzNs-Zk_DsF9klTo16nE-M6YMC8nMu8VCUagFRDrpratDCPSsCU6h50MO2HT1i-RiqhM1uFTgEXXSggmw$>, which is due March 12 at 11:59 PM EST. Participants can include this, as well as the certificate received for participating in this program, on their CV. Please share this widely with students in the health professions who are interested in working with the underserved.

All questions can be directed to studentcoalition at streetmedicine.org<mailto:studentcoalition at streetmedicine.org>.

Thank you!

Sincerely,

Sophie
