Subject: AI writing coaches for audio description

One of the sub-projects connected with the UniDescription Project<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/unidescription.org/__;!!A-B3JKCz!H4fS5lDDJ_EKl_3rh6r1uK86Uly4RwCXt65nUQw5kzBzem35K6ROb80XMlSoo6F222B5iDaMJXv_4d1_UdO2DuTNAOGz2wl5UZ4$> are the Access hounds.
Describe now! - Guidedogs<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/guidedogs.accesshound.com/describe-now__;!!A-B3JKCz!H4fS5lDDJ_EKl_3rh6r1uK86Uly4RwCXt65nUQw5kzBzem35K6ROb80XMlSoo6F222B5iDaMJXv_4d1_UdO2DuTNAOGzuoaGeUk$>
Rather than creating AI descriptions, the Access hounds are writing coaches, built by AI to improve human-written descriptions of images.
Each "guide dog" has the personality of a particular type of reader, such as a bored teen or a professor type who wants to know more about the image.
By "releasing the hounds" on a description, the describer can get a feel how different types of readers or listeners will react to the description they provide.
We have been using the guide dogs in our yearly project to describe park brochures and they are very fun and enlightening to play with.
The website has a sample photo and sample description already pasted in, which you can use to play with the dogs. Or you can replace the photo and description with your own.
If you know describers in your work or school environment, invite them to create an account on accessHound to get greater feedback for their descriptions.
