The School of Pharmacy is expanding our undergraduate offerings! Please share with any students interested in healthcare, pharmacy, medications, how drugs work in our bodies or students looking to fulfill their NSc requirements!



· PHRMSC 311/PHARM 311: Drugs, Diseases & the Quest for Better Health Outcomes – 3 credits NSc (*new*)

o MWF 3:30 – 4:20 PM

o Learn how medications produce their effects, are developed, reach the market, and the landscape of pharmacy practice in the U.S. Designed for students interested in careers in pharmaceutical sciences, health care practice & management, especially in pharmacy.

· PHARM 401: Principles of Pharmacology – 2 credits NSc (*new*)

o Tuesdays 2:30 – 4:20 PM

o Dive into the world of pharmacology in this small-group, hands-on course where you'll uncover how therapeutics work in the body and apply that knowledge to real clinical cases and research problems. With active learning at its core, you'll sharpen your critical thinking skills as you explore therapeutic exposures, drug interactions, and mechanisms of action across a wide range of real-world disease states and treatment strategies. Prerequisite: either CHEM 223, CHEM 237, or CHEM 257; and BIOL 355

· PCEUT 201: Drug Discovery, Development and Beyond: Careers and Controversies – 3 credits NSc

o MWF 2:30 – 3:20 PM

o Introduces students to drug development from discovery to drug approval with an emphasis on careers and the scientific and ethical issues at each stage.

o This is an undergraduate course that will introduce students to medicinal chemistry and pharmaceutical sciences.
