Hi everyone,

The graduate students and I have decided to postpone the art show until next academic year. Given the volume of us currently going through exams and the amount of current commitments or community has elsewhere, we have decided we'd like a bit more time to work and plan. We will be sure to follow up with a new date in the fall and are excited to see the submissions we've received then as well!

Best,
Madalena

Subject: Art Show: Submissions Open Now!

Hello,

On May 31 a group of graduate students in the department are curating an art show centered on the themes of academic work and life. We will have a happy hour from 4 to 6pm on the fourth floor of Smith Hall.

This show will be a space to share both your personal works and research/teaching related works. Though there is a conceptual vision for the show, all community members and artworks are welcome! If you are wondering if your idea fits this show, I promise anything can have a home here. And that includes medium! Whatever you've got, I want to find a way to include you!

My aim is to focus on geography graduate students' work, but there really is no gate to keep here. Friends, family, faculty, mentors, pets are all welcome to submit. If you think of someone who should be included, feel free to send them the link. If you are unsure of an answer to a question, no worries! I do not expect anyone to have works finished as of now, and you are encouraged to submit<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe1PVTHnviDI-O7T_pb4e9ZzGRTTdFLl-ekAeYKlf6AAMvuHA/viewform> in progress ideas.

Best,
Madalena
