Happy Autumn quarter!

I am writing to share an invitation to an upcoming NextGen Civic Leader Corps Signature Event, the NextGen Legislative Networking Reception. We would love to connect students to local legislators and law makers who are writing and implementing policy across the state, to learn more about their individual journeys to elected office. This is a fantastic opportunity to engage in networking with students from the three UW Campuses, as we will be engaging in a lower stakes Tri-Campus Peer Networking event immediately preceding the event from 5:30-6:45 PM in Parrington Hall.

Back by popular demand, the NextGen Civic Leader Corps Legislative Networking Reception is being held Thursday, October 17 from 7-8:30pm at Walker Ames Room at the Seattle campus. Join us for an evening of conversation and connection with Husky law makers from Olympia to local government leaders and committed public service practitioners. The event is a collaborative effort with UW Impact and NextGen Civic Leader Corps Network.

When: Thursday, October 17, 2024 (7-8:30pm)
Where: Walker Ames Room, Seattle Campus

This event is open to all UW undergraduate students (please tell your friends/colleagues!)

What to expect:
A unique opportunity to personally connect with and learn from UW alumni who have made an impact on their community through public service. Officials can provide insight both about their career path and the formative and inspiring opportunities they had at UW! The event will include table talk discussions and mixing time.

Heavy appetizers and non-alcoholic beverages are provided at this free event.
