Greetings Geographers,
Are you thinking about making any changes to your spring quarter schedule? A reminder to please check out the Office of the University Registrar’s registration resources<https://registrar.washington.edu/registration/resources/> as well as the registrar email included below our signature. In this Spring 2025 Registration Change Guide, you will find important information that may be useful now or later in the quarter, such as but not limited to:
* changes around registration and transcripts effective for the 2024-2025 academic year
* information about adding, dropping, withdrawing, from any or all of your spring 2025 courses
* deadlines for grading option changes to and from the Satisfactory/Not Satisfactory (S/NS) grading option
* a reminder on the registration tampering abuse policy
Now that the second week of winter quarter has begun, all UW courses require an add code for students to register<https://registrar.washington.edu/registration/course-fundamentals/>. This is true regardless whether the class has space available! The purpose of the university’s second-week add code restriction is to encourage students to reach out to the instructor to be sure it is still possible to be successful in the course if they join after the first week of the quarter.
Additionally, please know there are many resources available to help you take care of your health & wellbeing this spring:
* We have a page on our website dedicated to critical resources both on- & off campus<https://geography.washington.edu/critical-resources>.
* Check in with Disability Resources for Students<http://depts.washington.edu/uwdrs/> (DRS) as needed.
* Academic Support Programs<http://www.academicsupport.washington.edu/study-skills/> (ASP) provides support for students where you can:
* Meet with a CLUE tutor through drop-in tutoring or scheduled appointments<http://www.academicsupport.washington.edu/clue/>
* Stop by an exam review<https://events.uaa.uw.edu/view/2> led by CLUE tutors
* Meet with an Academic Success Coach through drop-in coaching or scheduled appointments<http://www.academicsupport.washington.edu/academic-success-coach/>
* Come to a study skills workshop<http://www.academicsupport.washington.edu/study-skills/study-skills-workshops/> led by Academic Success Coaches
* Reach out for Mental Health Care<https://wellbeing.uw.edu/topic/mental-health/> anytime!
* Please also remember the Odegaard Writing and Research Center (OWRC)<http://www.lib.washington.edu/ougl/owrc> is available for writing support.
As always, please don’t hesitate to contact us at geogadv at uw.edu<mailto:geogadv at uw.edu>!
