[UDSM Leadership] Fw: Interprofessional Service Learning Fair: Organization Information

Hi everyone!

There will be an interprofessional service-learning fair this Friday, April 22 at 11AM (that's when set-up is, event starts at noon) at South Campus Center. It'd be great to have a couple representatives from UDSM attend! We'd be talking with students about UDSM outreaches, your experiences, and then how they can get involved as a volunteer. We'll bring a paper or laptop to allow students to sign-up for the list-serv as well. I'm planning to attend and would love to see you there! Please let me know if you are interested in joining 🙂

Hello organization leaders,

Thank you so much for joining the UWSOM SLAC Interprofessional Service Learning Fair! We look forward to seeing you all in person next Friday, April 22! Here is a recap of the information for the event:

Friday, April 22 - South Campus Center 316
Tentative Agenda

11:00 Organization Check-In and Table Set Up

- Table Tents with organization name will be provided

11:15 Doors open for students to peruse organization tables

12:00 Lunch served - Table Conversations Open

13:00 Tear Down

Van tours will be running every 15 minutes.

Table Conversations are available spaces for folks to eat lunch together and discuss the following topics:

  *   Interprofessional Service Learning

  *   Ethics & Service Learning

  *   How to Center Community Voices

  *   Interorganizational/interprofessional Collaboration

Optional: I recommend bringing a laptop and creating a signup sheet to collect email addresses for your list serves. If you have any promotional material you would like printed, please send a PDF to Leonora Clarke at clarkel at uw.edu by next Wednesday, April 20.

Please keep in mind that this is an interprofessional fair, including students from the schools of Nursing, Dentistry, Public Health, Social Work, Medicine, Pharmacy, and more. Consider ways that your organization may partner with or include folks from other professions. We hope this will be a time to not only connect more students to service learning, but also build collaborations across schools as well!
